The Adams Council on Aging (CoA) is a town department. It was organized to develop a comprehensive network of in-home and community-based services and supportive programs for people sixty years of age and over in the Town of Adams.

1. To advocate on behalf of the Adams seniors
2. To provide information, referral, outreach, nutrition and health education in cooperation with other Town departments and area agencies
3. To identify unmet needs in the community and network with other social service agencies to fill those needs or create new programs to address those needs.
4. To enhance the quality of life for seniors and the community by providing educational, informational, recreational and cultural programs and activities.

The long-range goal of the Adams Council on Aging is to contact every senior in Adams to make them aware of services for which they, or someone they know may be eligible to improve their quality of life. In cases where the CoA is unable to fill an unmet need, we would network with other agencies to try to meet the need. Where no services are available, the CoA would look into creating a new program.
