The Department of Public Works consists of the following four divisions:
  • equipment and maintenance;
  • highways;
  • parks and grounds, including the cemetery;
  • and wastewater treatment.
The following responsibilities fall under this department:
  • Maintenance of town streets, sewers, and servicing of town vehicles; planting/maintenance of trees on town property.
  • Maintenance of the town's playing fields, parks, and playgrounds.
  • Sale of burial lots; Maintenance of town cemeteries, cemetery/burial records for research.
